PAWS Wimberley Trap & Release

The PAWS Wimberley TNR Program began in 2013 and over 1800 community cats in and around Wimberley have been spayed and neutered, vaccinated and any needed medical care since its inception.

This service is available to Wimberley and surrounding areas. The TNR team will trap, house, transport to and from a TNR clinic and let the cats recover before releasing them to their home area.

“Numbers don’t reflect the entire picture. Being able to provide community cats in Wimberley a broad range of services fills an often neglected area of humane animal treatment. Knowing that females will not have to deal with trying to raise kittens in often hostile environments, cats with medical problems will be able to be healed and return to a full life and that adoptive homes will provide safe harbor and love for cats that otherwise might have to fend on their own is ample reward for the effort involved.”
